That was first implemented at the New York Pro Championships on May 21 and, by all accounts, was a successful step forward.In the spirit of this major change, I now strongly urge the IFBB to place less emphasis on the "dry" look and make muscle proportion, separation and hardness the main elements in determining bodybuilding success. Hardness, not an unhealthy depleted state, is what competitors should aim for. But make no mistake, I''m not suggesting that someone spilling over with excess water should be given a break. I am saying that we need to draw a line between a lean, defined physique and one that indicates an athlete is on the verge of physical collapse. If extreme treespecies dryness is treespecies not rewarded, then competitors will have nothing to gain by taking the risk of becoming severely dehydrated.
